Unique Trailer Home Design: Making Your Dream A Reality for Less than $12000
Working on a tight budget is always a challenging task. Whether you are to buy a new round of grocery items or paying your bills, keeping expenses low is something that is mastered and not easily learned. While truly difficult to live within small means, the hardest thing to imagine is building your own house with a small budget. Good thing is, some architects know what most people need today—economical yet cozy and pleasing to the eye.
Macy Miller is one of those brilliant architects from Idaho who was able to design a small trailer home and transform it into her own piece of heaven. Since Miller did not want to get obliged with mortgage for 30 long years, and did not want to spend on contractors to build her new home, she decided to take a wide flatbed where she founded her 196 square foot residence.
The first thing you will notice with this unique trailer home is the exterior. The sidings are made of wood pallets, repurposed to show a modest yet elegant fa?ade. On the front is a patio with wooden flooring, slightly elevated from the ground and connected by a DIY staircase. With framed windows and entry door, and warm lighting fixtures, the patio looks like a comfortable reading place for those who love to spend the evening outside.
Inside is a tiny living area, a work table that doubles as a dining table, and a complete kitchen with its own
burner and sink. A small backdoor from the kitchen, side by side a framed window, expands the sight from within and gives an optical illusion of a more spacious area.
The trailer house has a mini loft where the bed is located, while underneath are spacious storage cabinets and drawers. The shower is just as comfortable to use, if not more classy, like something that is part of an elegant bricked guest house.
Of course, since it is built on a flatbed, it is completely mobile and does not need a fixed point to be operational. Nonetheless, a house like it perfectly settles as a permanent dwelling on a wide lawn.
Designing and building your own house always gives you an edge in controlling the implementation and final outcome. Since you will be following your own preferences, your home will often turn out unique. It also allows you to work within your budget, at your own pace, and with your chosen materials. However, of course, a DIY home requires a lot of time and effort to build. Without these two, you can try searching from Zoopla houses for sale where numerous home designs are advertised.
